3000 alumni and family members, high-ranking guests and a super energetic concert from our band as the official opening of the event. And then – a special location with bright jams with visitors. And as the cherry on the cake – just a great DJ set from our Oleksandr Ivanko, to which both the security and the stars of the Ukrainian scene sang!
Detailed report a little later, but for now a few photos and videos from the event
We have great news! One of our followers was so inspired by our therapeutic DJing program that he decided to give us an incredible gift - a new DDJ FLX DJ console
This generous contribution is not just support, it is faith in the power of music and the possibilities of our participants. Now even more veterans and war victims will be able to create, experiment and discover themselves through sound. And we already have the first sincere impressions of the new participant - after playing on the console, he admitted that he was completely immersed in the process and felt the real joy of music.
We are infinitely grateful for this support and are already looking forward to new musical discoveries together with our heroes!
On May 27, the Victory Beats music therapy at the Superhumans center was visited by an incredibly talented guest — Brett Hill, a musician from Ohio, a cultural producer, performer and activist who actively supports Ukraine and popularizes Ukrainian folk music using ethnic instruments.
Brett not only showed us how to play unusual musical instruments (in particular, the boran - an Irish drum), but also held an exciting jam session with patients, which literally took our breath away. Our therapy was a real sell-out: many people came just to look at the music room, but they were so excited that every instrument was used.
We are sincerely grateful to Brett for his support and playing together and are already looking forward to our next meetings. Special thanks to Rostyslav Tatomyr, who is involved in the direction of guitar playing at our therapy, for the opportunity to organize this extraordinary event.
On May 19, our Victory Beats music therapy at the Superhumans center was visited by the famous psychotherapist, developer of the Traumafocus method and founder of the Institute of Neuropsychotherapy in Vienna - Thomas Weber
The meeting began with a warm and heartfelt conversation about our therapeutic activities, and continued with an incendiary and melodic improvisation, which was simply impossible not to join in
We are sincerely grateful to Thomas for the visit and the time spent together, and we look forward to new meetings
On May 13, the Victory Beats music therapy was once again visited by our good friend - the outstanding British composer, teacher, humanitarian and iconic figure in the world of music therapy — Nigel Osborne.
This meeting was a real ray of sunshine on a gloomy rainy day: our space was filled with musical rhythms, drive, and improvisation. The therapy participants caught the wave of melody, playing a variety of instruments - from percussion to bass guitar.
The moment when one of our new participants tried to play the bass guitar for the first time - and was so carried away that, according to him, he completely forgot about the pain in his injured leg - was especially touching. This proves once again: music has an incredible healing power - both physical and emotional.
We are sincerely grateful to Nigel for the harmony of emotions, happiness and inspiration that he gave to our heroes. Special thanks to the Art Therapy Force project for its support and the opportunity to organize this extraordinary meeting.
