Roman's performance at the DnB party Sound of Ukraine

Roman's performance at the DnB party Sound of Ukraine

On October 4, thanks to the Sounds of Ukraine project Lviv was visited by a whole galaxy of stars of the world Drum&Bass scene: Degs, Lally, Pythius, T&Sugah and almost 2 dozen other artists who threw another grand party. Among them was our Roman Cherkas, who played on this stage for the second time.

The day began with a visit of the artists to the Superhumans Center, where our colleague Eddie Scott conducted an extensive tour of the center and, of course, we did not miss our music therapy Victory Beats. There we told the guests about our activities, the features and challenges of working with people with war trauma, as well as the high potential and prospects of using electronic music and DJing as a therapeutic approach.

And then in the very heart of Lviv, the main event began, and among it, a special part of the evening was the performance of our regular visitor to the EnterDJ recreational DJ program, Roman Cherkas, who with each beat more and more heated up the cool autumn evening and attracted more and more people to the stage under the powerful sound and fantastic light show. Among them were many veterans and people with disabilities, and here we must separately thank SOU and the Promyslova 21 location for their great attention and care. The organizers did everything possible to create a barrier-free space, including a toilet and even a special podium for people in wheelchairs for a better view of the stage and dance floor, and, accordingly, involvement in the event.

And last but not least, a bright event was the meeting with our long-time friend and favorite artist of our veterans - Degs. The guys had the opportunity to chat a little, but very sincerely and even discuss some ideas, after which Degs gave everyone an unforgettable show.

A special big thank you to SOU for supporting the Victory Beats charity project. Together we managed to collect almost 30,000 UAH, which will go to the development of music therapy for people with war trauma.

A fantastic event, with fantastic people and fantastic self-expression. And there will be more!
