Second meeting with Nigel Osborne

On April 15, an incredible event full of rhythm, emotions and musical enthusiasm took place at the Victory Beats music therapy. visited The outstanding British teacher, composer, humanitarian and iconic figure in the world of music therapy, Nigel Osborne, visited us again Nigel Osborne.

It was a real symphony of improvisation and desired melodies: from a driving rock rhythm with guitars and percussion to the deep, meditative sound of a hang. In addition to the therapeutic session itself, we also had a very fruitful conversation on plans for the development of music therapy in Ukraine. So, stay tuned for an update soon!

We are incredibly grateful to Nigel for the two hours of inspiration, play and spiritual light that he and our heroes gave to everyone present. Special thanks to Art Therapy Force project for the opportunity to organize this meeting.

Musical instruments for Habilitation Center

It's always nice to give gifts.

As you remember, on March 20, the first screening of the documentary "Resonance Beyond Borders: The Sounds of Ukraine" took place in London, created by SW Productions in collaboration with Hospitaldnb, Hospital Records and Sounds of Ukraine. This screening was a charity fundraiser for the Victory Beats project. In total, we managed to collect 25,000 UAH, with which we bought musical instruments.

And on April 13, we were very happy to present them to the First Abilification Center (Lviv) Guitar, djembe, bells, tambourine, shaker, glucophone - now, in addition to relaxation therapy from Victory Beats, the center's residents will be able to reveal themselves even more and express their inner world through music.

This event became even more outstanding because the group "Varenyky z vishnyami" also visited the center, performing vesnyankas - traditional Ukrainian songs in honor of the arrival of spring, and also telling extremely interesting stories about the origin of these songs. So, instead of long speeches, we immediately moved on to playing instruments to the songs.

And at the end, Sagittarius Zen held a master class in DJing, which aroused quite a bit of interest from the veterans.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped implement this good deed. There is even more interesting things ahead!

Performance for Prince Harry

On April 10, Prince Harry and representatives of his famous sports project, Invictus Games, visited the Superhumans Center. We, with our music therapy, could not stay away and together with the super musicians played rock and roll for the prince and the invincible heroes.

And we played like never before – so much so that the lights went out!

RoMZeS — Melodic Techno (retro)

About RoMZeS

Before the full-scale invasion, Roman was a sailor - a boatswain on a tugboat. In March 2022, he went to war as an infantryman. He lost both legs in battle. While undergoing rehabilitation, he ended up at Victory Beats music therapy, where, under the mentorship of Vlad Fisun, he was able to realize his long-standing dream - to learn to DJ.

Music has always been a strong passion for Roman, and DJing has given another unexpected and positive effect. "When I play, my phantom pain disappears," he says.

Currently, Roman continues to experiment with styles and find his own style of playing. And now he presents his first public set, compiled from classic hits from the 90s-2000s.

Ambiotik feat. Moonbird — Jelly based life forms

This improvisation was recorded during a joint music therapy session for Ukrainian veterans.

Ambient music is able to immerse people in the depths of the subconscious and experience unusual transcendental experiences. Once a participant in the Victory Beats music therapy described her state as the pleasant swaying of a jellyfish in the ocean.

This improvisation takes us into the deep past, to the origin and development of life in the boundless ocean and further - to union with the universe. Somewhat jokingly and symbolically it is called "Jelly based life forms"
